Blog Post: Microsoft Azure Stack Enables Hybrid Cloud for Enterprise

Microsoft Azure Stack is a new hybrid cloud platform enabling companies that need a private cloud for compliance and governance requirements to leverage Azure Cloud services. Do you know what an SLA includes for audit-ready Cloud ERP?  Learn in this free online eBook » Microsoft Azure Stack Hybrid Cloud Responding to the growing demand for enterprise cloud apps, Microsoft is launching Microsoft Azure Stack.  Azure stack is a hybrid cloud platform product that is designed to help enterprises deploy Azure Services in a private cloud environment. Since highly regulated companies are not typically able to launch mission critical data systems in a public cloud, Azure Stack allows them to bring Azure services into their private cloud or their hosting provider’s data centers.  This will better enable customers to securely deploy products like Dynamics NAV 2016 and the Dynamics AX 2016 release , which are both tuned for Azure deployment. “Get the power of cloud services, yet maintain control of your datacenter for true hybrid cloud agility. You decide where to keep your data and applications—in your own datacenter or with a hosting service provider,” says Microsoft. Microsoft Azure and Azure Stack architectures are standardized, including the same portal, DevOps tools and a unified application model. The application model enables developers to apply the same approach to applications on Azure Stack that they would on Azure. Azure Stack allows developers to use Visual Studio, PowerShell and other open-source DevOps tools, delivering the same end user experience as Azure. By unifying on-premise, public and private clouds, Microsoft Azure Stack will help highly regulated companies leverage the cloud to better manage the growing complexity of corporate technology requirements.  What’s more, businesses will be able to take a comprehensive cloud approach while satisfying the many complex audit policies that public companies must maintain over mission critical applications and data. “To manage this complexity, Microsoft believes enterprises have to approach cloud as a model – not a place. This model cuts across infrastructure, applications and people, and requires a hybrid cloud approach that provides consistency across private, hosted, and public clouds,” said Mike Neil, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Enterprise Cloud, in a recent blog . “To translate this model into reality, customers need a consistent cloud platform that spans hybrid environments.” Azure Stack enables a single cohesive experience across applications and severs.  This allows a hosting provider like RoseASP to deliver their own audit-ready private cloud environment for their highly regulated customers.  So, critical apps like Dynamics ERP stay protected while better connecting the customers’ broader portfolio of cloud and on-premise apps. Addressing concerns such as data integrity and compliance will always be a requirement for publicly traded companies when leveraging public cloud apps.  RoseASP can help regulated organizations leverage compliant cloud computing on their terms.
