For the Visual Studio Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP developers out there, I am pleased to announce that the next build of the Visual Studio Integration Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics GP (VSIT) is now available for download. The Visual Studio Integration Toolkit was previously known as Menus for Visual Studio Tools (MVST), which was discontinued in October 2014. If you are still using the previous product, please upgrade to the supported product. This build adds support for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 as well as adding a full installer, digitally signed DLLs and registration system. Build 11 of Visual Studio Integration Toolkit is available for the following Microsoft Dynamics GP versions: Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 (v11.0), Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 and GP 2013 R2 (v12.0), Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 and GP 2015 R2 (v14.0) Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 (v16.0). The installer supports multiple instances of Microsoft Dynamics GP as well as silent installs and will automatically install the Dexterity product dictionary and dual signed Dictionary Assembly DLL files into the correct folders for you. The registration system allows us to track the usage of the tool so that we can support it better. The current menu navigation functionality of the tool does require registration to work, but there is no cost for that registration. You will need to contact Mekorma for registration via their Order Now page to obtain keys for each customer site using Visual Studio Integration Toolkit. At a later stage additional features will be added to a “Professional” version of the toolkit and these will need to be registered with an annual subscription fee. Important: When installing VSIT on a system which already has MSVT installed, you will be asked to restart Microsoft Dynamics GP to complete the renaming of the product. You will also need to remove and re-add your reference to the Application.MenusForVisualStudioTools.dll assembly in your Visual Studio projects.
