I ran into the same issue just today after our Controller asked about attaching to posted invoices. We're running GP 2015 and it doesn't seem to support attaching to posted transactions thru the Document Attach feature. I then tried to attach thru the Notes but the paperclip was missing. After some googling I found this post ( https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/developingfordynamicsgp/2009/10/01/ole-attachments-and-record-notes/ ), along with several others, and the problem was solved. So I ask, is it official that GP's Document Attach feature doesn't work for posted transactions?
