As of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010, Word Templates were introduced as an alternative to the standard reports. The Word templates offer an easier way to format the documents produced from Dynamics GP, such as sales invoices and check remittances. When a new field needs to be added to a Word template, it first needs to be added in Report Writer and then the Word template modified. To add the field in Word, the Microsoft Dynamics GP Add-in for Microsoft Word needs to be installed.
