John, SmartList Builder is not really meant to be a tool where you copy/paste large sql scripts... It was initially meant for end-user to build queries based on table/fields sélections and that would create a SQL view in the back-end... and that's what I'd suggest to do as well.. if you build large complexe SQL scripts, you better off to save them as a view in SQL and call that view from within SLB..
