Search Customer/PartnerSource for update paths and you can download the version and build paths for the upgrades. Just knowing the version is NOT good enough, you need to be very careful of the builds. v8.00g73 (Service Pack 5) to any10.0 patch except Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 Hotfix KB 968118 then GP10.00.1868 to GP 2013 RTM or later (Version 12.00.1295) OR you can go from 8 to 9, and then 9 to 2013 There is no direct upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013. You must first upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 to either Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 or 2010 and then upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013. In addition to the Dynamics GP versions, you will need to be wary of the operating system and SQL server version. So, record everything you've got now so that you can step through the updates with the minimum number of steps. It's all documented.
