Hi Louise, The last time I saw this it was because the user already existed in the database but not in the application. If you can access the database via SSMS check for an existing login in the Company DB with the same login you were trying to create. Before making any change in SQL it is advisable to take a backup of the database and with that done you should be able to safely delete the existing sql user (if it isn't in use) and grant the new user access via GP.
