Hello, I have this exact problem. My company is a new client to Great Plains so I apologize if this is a stupid question but we are trying to add a user to GP and we originally got the message that the user already existed even though we didn't see them when we retrieved the list of users. We deleted the SQL login and the user account from the APSGP database (my company's name is APS - Alberta Pensions Services) and now when we try and add the user, we get the "Creation of the login failed for an unknown reason" error. We also have databases named DYNAMICS, DYNAMICS_SECURITY, TSTGP and about 40 others on the same SQL server. Is there any way to tell which databases I need to clean up? Thanks in advance for any help. Ken
