Forum Post: RE: AR class id - inactive?

Hi Deanne, I do not think you can make a class ID 'Inactive'. If you reveal the 'inactive' field on the window and then check the box, the database field will be updated, but nothing will happen because there isn't any code attached to the field. In any event, it might have been a field the GP developers considered as a class 'roll down' value, but did not use. Are you looking for a way to keep folks from using the class? On this one it's simple, just delete the class. None of the existing class members will be changed, but roll-downs won't be possible until you create a new class with the exact same ID. Creating the new class is easy. Open a customer of that class and then zoom back on the Customer Class ID field and type in the values. Kind regards, Leslie
