Hi I am making the following assumptions with this reply: - GP Fixed Assets are being fully used - i.e. the tax client is doing monthly depreciation etc - Download needs to include all the YTD depreciations etc. - Accountant is likely to make minor changes rather than loads of changes every year There are SmartList objects available for Fixed Assets. While I can't give you all the column details off the top of my head, I am pretty sure most of the information is available. So you could download a SmartList for the relevant period - note - I am pretty sure this would need to be done immediately after finishing the last depreciation run - you wouldn't be able to do historical in this manner. The accountant could then note the changes on the file and the appropriate changes made in GP. The changes in GP need to be done through the data entry screens as any change to a depreciation sensitive field prompts a message about how you want to recalculate depreciation. And you then have the options of recalculating the life, year or from now on. I have managed mass revaluations for clients by recording a macro of the key strokes, including the revaluation option. For this to work, the changes would need to be consistent - or - all relevant fields would need to be mapped. It would also rely on the same revaluation option being chosen for each asset - although you could split them out into different batches of transactions prior to doing the merge. If you are unsure on using macros for data updates, you can refer to a video I recorded on this a couple of years back: www.youtube.com/watch It might pay to do some changes to some assets in a test company so your client can see the impact. For me, if it was less that 30 assets that needed updating, I would do it manually. Hope this helps. Cheers Heather
