I'm trying to get a Word template for the Packing List to work, but it's driving me nuts. First my test setup: System OS is Server 2003, MS SQL 2005 Server Standard Edition, MS Office Professional Plus 2010 (14.0.7015.1000), MS Dynamics 2010 SP3 (11.00.2197) I can setup the system to use the original SOP Blank Packing Slip Form and print a Packing Slip to the default template OK. Goto Report Writer and Delete the modified SOP Blank Packing Slip Form Insert SOP Blank Packing Slip Form to the Modified Reports, Open the report and view the layout without making any changes, then save the report. Return to Dynamics and set the security to use the modified report. Print a Packing list to screen and XML file Go to Report Template Maintenance window(Reports->Template Maintenance). Choose the modified report then click the New Button In New Template window choose "From Existing Template" and select the Original Template. Give the new template the name SOP Blank Packing Slip Form Original Template.docx and assign it as the company default. When I print the template to screen and file it prints OK. Choose that template and click modify button. In Word, open the filed list, remove the source, add the generated XML file as a source, and save the report without making any other changes checking Maintain compatibility. Return to Report Template Maintenance window and using the green + load the new template and set it as the company default. Print the Packing list again and get the error 'One or more templates could not be processed. View the exception log for more details.' I've edited the Dex.Ini file and added the lines: KeepTemplateTempFiles=TRUE TPELogging=TRUE Each time I print a Packing List I see a TNTxxx.tmp file in %TEMP% that contains the report's XML data but can NOT find any exception log. I've gone through the whole process several times , deleting the templates and starting over but always get the same results. Am I going NUTS??
