Hello Josh, We are having the same issue with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2 build 16.00.0439. What version of Microsoft Dynamics GP are you running? We deactivated Analytical Accounting and that seems to have solved our issue.

Thanks Ian. Between your comments, and the suggestions from Leslie Vail here and here , I was able to get this back to normal. I ended up manually deleting the orphaned records from PM10200 and PM20100, then adjusting the CURTRXAM in PM20000 as you suggested.

Hello, By looking at screenshot nothing can identified. So, As per below comments, you can deactivate Analytical Accounting (steps here support.microsoft.com/.../steps-to-disable-third-party-products-or-temporarily-disable-additional-products-in-the-dynamics.set-file-in-microsoft-dynamics-gp ) and try again. The log scripts/profile trace/table data of the transaction are helpful to understand the issue with great detail. Let me know you need any help in this regard.

As with many SQL Server admin topics, this can be a complicated subject to get into. However to keep the reply simple, for a "one off" shrink, to recover the space from this unusual event (creation and deleting the records), you will be fine shrinking the DB and files to recover the space. Tim.

Reset Life will recalculate the depreciation on the asset life to date. Reset Year will only recalculate the depreciation for the current year. And Recalculate will only be used going forward. For more information about these options and depreciation sensitive fields, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 855314 Information about chaning a depreciation-sensitve field in the Asset Book window in Fixed Asset Management in Microsoft Dynamics GP

Jorge, Thanks that is really helpful. I knew this could be done at the database level using SQL, see dynamicsgpblogster.blogspot.com/.../reconciling-sop-batches.html but had not thought of using the Edit list to do it. Tim.

This is not an "error" as you put it. -It is a warning. It simply warns the user that they are about to execute another program or file that is outside of the current application. In theory that program or file could be anything, so potentially if someone has saved a virus infected or malicious application into the OLE container, then the user is at risk opening it. There is no "solution" as such, other than to beware opening unknown files, ensuring good anti malware & virus is running on clients and servers, something we should all try to do all the time anyway! I assume you can go on to open the file successfully (after checking its safety)? Tim.

Forum Post: Write off in Dynamics GP

Hi, Is the below possible the client have changed systems the balances were brought forward with the intention of accounting for movements in GP. After a few months, this process was abandoned but the balances have never been written off. My query is whether it is possible to do a mass write-off in GP of these balances since there are 1,679 balances which would obviously therefore be extremely tedious to do it on an individual basis. I have already tried the write off process in GP but i get the error of no document were found matching the criteria selected. I think this is because in GP there are no transactions related to this since only balances were imported. Thanks and regards,

Blog Post: Microsoft Dynamics GP Table Reference

There are a fair number of really good resources out there on Microsoft Dynamics GP, but, unfortunately, some of them disappear through time. One of the casualties was the GP Table Reference, which closed down a while ago. I’m not sure who was behind the site, but it has been missed. To that end, I have started building a new site to live alongside this one; the Microsoft Dynamics GP Table Reference . The site is a work in progress, and will likely always be. At present it has the main Microsoft Dynamcis GP products tables along with the tables for Fixed Assets (product 309), Purchase Order Enhancements (product 2277) and Revenue Expense Deferrals (product 1045). I will be adding products soon and will continue adding them until I have all of the first party products and will then look to start adding some of the more popular/common ISV ones. I’ll also be adding some further explanations and to the fields, such as the one already added to the LOCNCODE field in Purchase Order Line (POP10110) . I hope people find the site useful; if you do use it and spot any issues, or want anything adding, please get in touch and let me know. Hi, I have upgraded CRM 2011 to CRM 2016 SP1 on-premises. I can find only normal reports and dashboards in CRM 2016 on-premises. I can't find any new reports tool or Power BI in CRM 2016 on-premises. Kindly give me details if any other reporting tools available in in CRM 2016 on-premises. Please confirm Power BI visualizations on personal dashboards will work on CRM 2016 on-premises. If not working what is the alternate solution. Regards, Noushad
